AWWI to Hold Forum on Minimization Technologies and Chair Panel at AWEA Siting Conference

On March 22, in a special pre-conference forum of the American Wind Energy Associations’ Wind Project Siting and Environmental Compliance Conference, AWWI will host experts from the vendor, industry, government, and scientific communities to discuss the current state of technologies intended to minimize impacts to birds and bats through deterrence and/or detection, and the efforts that are underway to better understand these technologies’ effectiveness.

The workshop will involve an interactive session, with participants responding to case studies and questions to drive group dialogue. Attend to learn more about these technologies intended to minimize impacts to birds and bats through detection and deterrence!

During the Conference, AWWI’s Director of Research and Evaluation, Dr. Taber Allison, will chair a session on key research priorities for eagles, bats, and grouse species.

The pre-conference forum organized by AWWI and the AWEA Siting and Environmental Compliance Conference are held March 22-23, in Charleston, SC.
