AWWI’s Taber Allison is Elected to the Renewable Energy Working Group of The Wildlife Society

The Wildlife Society, a national organization of wildlife managers and professionals, now counts AWWI’s Director of Research and Evaluation Taber Allison as a Board member of the TWS Renewable Energy Working Group. Dr. Allison was elected to the Board in November 2015.

TWS Working Group members focus on wildlife and ecological issues associated with the siting, construction, and operation of renewable energy generating facilities.

The Board of this Working Group plans a session each year for The Wildlife Society’s Annual Conference and organizes a morning breakfast, co-sponsored by AWWI, for young wildlife biologists. In 2014, the group organized a field trip to the Casselman wind farm as part of the Wildlife Society’s annual conference that year in nearby Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Taber’s participation will further enhance coordination with this important group of wildlife professionals.
