AWWI’s Technology Innovation program conducted an independent evaluation of the IdentiFlight camera-based eagle detection/curtailment technology. This publication, Automated Monitoring for Birds in Fight: Proof of Concept with Eagles at a Wind Power Facility, reports the results of a proof-of-performance test that evaluated IdentiFlight’s ability to detect and classify eagles by comparing its capabilities to those of human observers.
